Service is also available from the Yaki Barn area, near the South Kaibab trailhead, back to the village at around noon to accommodate the mule trips that arrive back on the rim at that time.
 
If you plan to use the shuttle please remember to verify the actual departure times upon your arrival at the Grand Canyon. Missing the shuttle is a good way to screw up your trip from the very start.
 
Trans-Canyon Shuttle : If you are planning on doing a cross-canyon or trans-canyon hike then you may be interested in the Trans-Canyon Shuttle.
 
Rail service between the Grand Canyon and Williams, Arizona, aboard vintage steam engines, is offered by the Grand Canyon Railway. The train operates Wednesday - Sunday, through March 12; and operates daily between March 15 and December 23.

AMTRAK offers train service to Flagstaff and connecting bus service is offered by Nava-Hopi Tours (see above).

The Railroad Express Service offers bus service for people to take only a one-way trip on the Steam Train. To ride on the one-way train in the morning contact the Transportation Desk at your lodge. To ride one-way in the afternoon contact the Grand Canyon Railway at 1-800-THE-TRAIN.
 
Taxi service within the park and the surrounding community (trailheads, airport and other destinations) is provided via Harvey Cars which are operated by Fred Harvey Company. This services is provided daily, around the clock.
