Bright Angel Campground
The Bright Angel Campground is located alongside Bright Angel Creek, about 1/4 north of where it joins the Colorado River and about 1/2 mile south of Phantom Ranch.
The campground has 31 sites and will support a group limit of 2 groups or a camper limit of 90 campers. Toilet facilities are available at the south end of the camping area.
Campsites must be reserved in advance by obtaining a Backcountry Permit from the Backcountry Office.
The sites are no longer free, and are charged the same rate as any other backcountry site as defined by the Grand Canyon National Park, Recreation Free Demonstration Program.
