This day was consumed mostly by driving over to the Grand Canyon's south rim. It was already mid-afternoon when we got there and it had been rainy and stormy for most of the day. It was still technically monsoon season and this type of weather should never be unexpected from mid-July through mid-September.
It was still raining when we arrived but soon stopped. When the clouds finally started to break apart we were treated to some magnificent views of the inner canyon... including a rainbow.
